Journalling Prompts

Here are some journalling prompts for when you are stuck or not sure what to write. You can work through them at your own pace, and pick and choose the ones that resonate for you.

Journalling is meant to be for you, with no expectations. It can be messy, bullet-point, paragraphs, hand written, or typed. It’s important to make it as easy as possible for yourself to reflect and get your thoughts out.

  1. What are three things that made me smile or feel gratitude today?

  2. What challenges did I face today, and how did I overcome them?

  3. How did I show kindness or receive kindness today?

  4. What achievements or accomplishments am I proud of from today?

  5. How did I take care of myself today (physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually)?

  6. Did I learn something new today? What was it, and how does it make me feel?

  7. Describe a moment today when I felt at peace or in harmony with myself.

  8. Did I spend time doing something I enjoy today? How did it make me feel?

    • If not, what got in the way? Is there something I want to do differently next time?
